Quality Assurance Manager

The Role

Purpose: We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to take responsibility of companywide quality issues related to the design, fabrication, purchasing, deployment and testing of  wave and tidal power devices. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
• A proven background in implementing, maintaining and improving quality assurance systems relating to design, manufacture and procurement in the industrial sector
• An in depth understanding of applied qualify assurance tools and techniques
• Proven written and communication skills
• Proven team player and independent contributor


Job Description
The role of the Quality Assurance Manager will include:
• The implementation and operation of appropriate QA systems within the business
• Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved
• Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements
• Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
• Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures in conjunction with the Information Manager around the design, procurement and manufacturing processes
• Identifying relevant quality-related training needs across the company and coordinate the delivery of training
• Collating, analyzing and reporting on quality performance data and charts against defined metrics
