Cyber Driller - North Sea
North Sea - Atrractive + benefits +++Our client requires a number of Cyber Drillers to take charge of rig floor operations, control the drilling process, to be responsible for the downhole condition of the well and to directs the work of the drilling team to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
The Role
- Oversees and inspects rig-ups.
- Inspects derrick and associated equipment; checks mud properties and flow.
- Monitors drilling conductor hole, surface hole, and main hole.
- Runs and retrieves riser and subsea blowout prevention (BOP) stack.
- Trips and monitors drilling string; runs and monitors cement casing.
- Manipulates the control console on the rig floor.
- Operates the pumps during the well control operation; records data on the Well Control
- Performs inspections of drilling and pump equipment as required; reports and/or takes appropriate action on all potential hazards.
- Checks the operation of the slow pump rates in accordance with established procedures.
- Takes immediate actions to shutdown drilling operations and secure well in case of a blowout.
- Completes the IADC and daily reports; prepares handover notes for relief drilling staff.
- Participates in the Safety Training Observation Program (S.T.O.P).
- Participates in weekly and pre-tour safety meetings and safety training.
- Develops and implements Job Safety Analyses and prepares risk assessments.
- Participates in BOP, kick drills, and emergency response exercises; performs kick drills as instructed.
- Directs and coordinates crewmembers in the performance of work duties and priorities.
- Monitors the performance of the drill crew; takes appropriate action to identify and resolve performance issues, ensuring safety procedures are followed in accordance with client policies and procedures.
- Identifies training needs and provides instruction and feedback on work performance.
- Prepares required work permits and risk assessments.
- Acts as a deputy to the Toolpusher in directing the drilling team in the event of a fire, well control, or other emergency.
- Performs all duties in accordance with the Permit to Work System.
- Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management
The Applicant
- Must have 1 to 2 years experience as an Assistant Driller and at least 2 years in offshore drilling operations with another drilling contractor
- Cyberchair experience
- Offshore survival (OPITO)
- Offshore Medical (UKOG/UKOOA)
- International Well Control Certificate at supervisor's level is required
- Lifeboat Coxswain certificate
