Deck Pusher - Deck Foreman
North Sea - CompetitiveOur client is currently seeking a number of experienced Deck Pushers to work a 3 : 3 on board their jackup installations based in the North Sea.
The Role
- Supervise and manage in accordance with Supervisory Roles and Responsibilities,
- Work to client Management System, HSE related policies & procedures, and relevant authority regulations requirements within his/her area of responsibility
- Plan work for deck crew before work commences, and include relevant personnel in the planning process
- Ensure Lift Plans are completed correctly and signed off and generic ones are systematically reviewed
- Review & sign off rig floor lifting plans
- Effectively participate in SOAR program and encourage active participation
- Assure effective execution of mechanical lifting operations
- Ensure cranes and all associated lifting equipment are used in accordance with manufacturers specifications and lifting operations manual
- Monitor rigging loft
- Ensure that lifting equipment register is properly maintained and up to date
- Ensure all hoisting / lifting equipment inspection/certification is up to date
- Supervise directly any simultaneous or non-routine or special lifting operation
- Organize deck for safe, efficient and effective operations
- Manage change effectively through participation in the Hazard Management, Stop Work and/or Corrective Action Procedures
- Prepare handover reports for supervisor and relief, and advice the latter verbally of current, past, and impending operations
- Contribute to the company’s Quality Assurance plan
- Assist with audits and follow up on audits to bring outstanding audit points to completion
- Ensure that all lifting operations taking place on the rig are performed according to client Policies and UK regulations
- Act as a LOLER focal point
- Review Company documentation with crew members as required
- Participate in document revisions as required
- Maintain variable deck loadings and organize and maintain deck and hull load distribution
- Assist Barge Engineer with all barge related duties
- Direct material and/or personnel transfer from work boat
- Actively participate in all safety meetings and contribute with relevant points
- Complete and submit reports, logs, records and notes in accordance to procedures and instructions
- Supervise, provide guidance and feedback to all members of the crew for both routine and non-routine tasks in accordance with the Job Description for Supervisors,
- Demonstrate Leadership through personal responsibility and accountability
- Coach new hands working on the deck

- Extensive supervisory experience and will act as LOLER Competent Person onboard the rig.
