Electronic Technician (North Sea)
North Sea - Attractive + benefits +++Our client, an internationally renowned Drilling Contractor who strives to continually invest in leading edge technology in order to service customer requirements, is now seeking an Electronic Technician.
Purpose
The Electronic Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance and renewal of all MODU electronic equipment and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that activities are conducted in accordance with corporate Permit to Work system.
- Ensure compliance with company Maintenance policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all activities are performed in a timely manner in order to prevent downtime.
- Responsible for problem solving, repair of electronic circuit boards, installation of wiring and electronic components relating to various items of drilling and associated equipment onboard.
- Assist Electrician with repairs and replacement of electrical equipment as and when required.
- Maintain/repair MODU air condition, refrigeration systems and control systems.
- Maintain/repair all intercommunication equipment.
- Conduct pre-task planning meeting as required and where a work order is required, only undertakes work authorised.
- Follow company policies concerning safety meetings, station bill assignments.
- Adhere to rig mobilisation procedures and related maintenance as directed by operations manual.
- Maintain prescribed electronic parts inventory.
- Perform general housekeeping in work areas and to machinery and equipment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good work order and properly stored.
- Maintain daily log of activities

Experience required:-
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Electronic Technician.
- Permit to Work systems.
- MODU air condition, refrigeration, control and intercommunication systems.
- Repairing of electronic circuit boards, components and wiring.
- Computerized Planned Maintenance Systems and Permit to Work Systems
- Quality Management Systems.
- Must be educated to degree, ONC or City and Guilds in an electrical/electronic discipline
- Jack-up experience essential, preference given to those with additional experience of semi submersibles
