Our client is seeking a Well Intervention Field Engineer, vessel based working offshore in various geographical locations. The purpose of the role is to oversee the acquisition and quality control of log data from various downhole tools run on electric line (e-line).

The position
   
  • Responsible for carrying out Client’s well intervention programs in accordance with client procedures
  • Ensure integrity of acquired log data, work with supervisor to explain anomalous readings and assist in data or operational quality investigations
  • Work with Well Intervention Supervisor and Wireline Maintenance Technician to assist with the maintenance of downhole instrumentation and hardware
  • Carry out Task Based Risk Assessment exercises and take part in toolbox talks as appropriate
  • Regularly review and monitor compliance with safe work systems and operations procedures
  • Integrate with and assist the other operations teams on board the vessel as appropriate

The Applicant

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Earth Sciences or an equivalent technical subject
  • Ideally hold three years experience as an Open Hole and/or Cased Hole Logging Engineer
  • Exposure to electric line (e-line) well intervention technique
  • Experience of ballistic and radioactive services desirable
  • Experience of Sondex equipment an advantage
